The Fort Bend Storm has joined the Texas United Football League for the 2012 football season...

The Fort Bend Storm organization has announced that for the 2012 football season, they will be taking their championship team and joining the Texas United Football Association.

The Texas United Football League will be doubling their teams from last year and the Storm will be part of this movement.  Owner and Head Coach Trey Hoover is looking forward to the change of leagues: "We are excited about the move into the TUFA this year and we will be looking to add another championship for this organization.  We believe this is a good move for our football team and we are anxious to get started."

The TUFA is separated in to two Conferences: The Longhorn and Lonestar conferences. While the Longhorn conference is further divided in to North and South divisions, the Lonestar Conference is separated in to East and West divisions. The Storm will play in the Lonestar Conference, East Division alongside the Houston Ravens, East Coast Hard Hittaz, and Acres Homes Komodos. Since becoming a franchise establishment in 2009, the Fort Bend Storm have a regular season and playoff record of 28-9.  They have been in the GCFA for the past two years, where they have compiled a 21-4 record.  

The Storm reached the GCFA Championship both years, and won it by a score of 31-13 against the Texas Express in 2011. They hope to keep up the winning tradition in the TUFA and know that the road to success in this league will be tough and challenging.

The Storm will be holding tryouts on October 22, 2011 at Guy K. Traylor Stadium. It should be another great year for the Storm and we are all looking forward to it.
